Save NYC Musicians
New York City is my adopted City I’ve fallen in love with deeply. I moved here from Oakland CA. in 2004, I’ve toured all over the US and lived in a few places for short periods of time, but there truly isn’t any other City like New York City. The incredible level of great musicians here is awe inspiring. I haven’t seen a community of deeply connected Artists in one place since my days at Interlochen MI,. The broadway community is a massive collaboration of Artist from a broad spectrum of experiences and influences. This city is truly the center of our modern universe……
When the pandemic hit back in March it crippled the Entertainment industry to the point where full time performing musicians can’t make a living on any level until audiences are allowed to come back to Concert venues and Theatre’s. The ripple effect of the closure of Broadway, The Metropolitan Opera, The New York Philharmonic and Concert venues has been devastating to the Restaurant, Hotel and Tourism industries in New York City. Broadway will be the very last phase of the re-opeing in NYC. Until this happens Musicians are struggling harder than at any time in the past 100 years. Below is a video from our Union, Local 802 in New York City. Watch, forward, Donate and help Save NYC Musicians….
